War casualty: Famine is hitting Britain where it hurts the most. At the heart of the ongoing Russia and Ukraine crisis, economic turmoil continues to surge in UK and worldwide as the gap between social classes rapidly declines. Social decline has also resulted in extreme scavenging as The Bridge Magazine was disheartened to learn about a viral video showing people desperately eating from bins in Manchester. The Bridge Magazine proposes drastic solutions to governments worldwide to preserve Human Dignity.

Human dignity is at stake. The severe decline in basic human necessities is urging our editorial to propose drastic solutions to governments worldwide, in order to prevent a cataclysmic revolution which could result in shops becoming battlefields in order to seek refuge whether it be for warmth or food.
Relying in bins to feed oneself whilst ignoring being captured on camera, is a wakeup call. In a bid to save the human race, The Bridge Magazine’s focal point centres on the importance of the need for reasonable economic/ pecuniary living standards and laws in order to potentially help victims of war and by extension the rest of the world.
The impact of war in Ukraine on global trade is impactful. Global economic implications of the Russia-Ukraine war is all pervasive: It is believed it has plunged the global economy into a new crisis: According to a recent report:
“Inflation rises to 7% in UK as British cost of living soars. UK households have been warned to brace for the sharpest annual rise in the cost of living since the early 1980s after a bigger unexpected jump in the official inflation jump 7% amid record increasing petrol prices”
Recent statistics of The World Trade Organization (WTO) reveal turbulent backdrops of global inflationshowing how Ukraine and Russia war is threatening global economic growth.
In its Trade Forecast 2022 – 2023 the WTO says prospects for the global economy have “darkened” since the war started on 24 February.
According to (WTO) “Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has created immense human suffering, it is also damaging global trade and disruptions to food supplies could have potentially dire consequences for poor countries”.
War is and always remains a huge mistake. Helping/Preventing vulnerable people from suffering from the severe backlash at home and abroad matters to us all. In times of emergency humanitarian crisis, it is wrong to dwell on futile differences.
As a reminder, whether or not one believes in the theory of biological evolution of English naturalist Charles Darwin (1809–1882), it has been scientifically been proven that ONLY 1% of our DNA differentiates humans from chimpanzees regardless of people’s skin colour/ tone , tribes, political stance, religious beliefs or social etiquettes. Which is a slap in the face for those who have the GOD complex.
The Russia and Ukraine war is exacerbating supply chains and demand tensions, damaging consumer emotion and threatening global economic growth.
Extreme famine and poverty affect mental health- Human suffering has reached its breaking point. People in need are compromising their dignity to survive.
It has been medically proven that hunger affects mental health, that young people who had experienced hunger had a significantly higher risk of developing depressive symptoms and acute health problem within the next 10 years.
In order to preserve or to restore Human Dignity for those who are alive and still living in abject poverty, vegetating or to prevent further human loss, The Bridge Magazine is exhorting the World leaders to urgently implement the following robust and rigorous measures for the Just Cause:
Implementing measures in order to save mankind from the perils of the backlash of war namely famine, high living costs.
Governments worldwide need an urgent shift in priority
Solution 1: Food Banks around the world: food banks for those who are struggling to make ends meet by eating in bins in order not to die of starvation are of paramount importance.
If you can, Donate food as your commitment to human dignity.
Hunger knows no borders, about 795 million people worldwide face hunger, according to the World Food Programme. When you fill up a grocery bag to donate to a food bank, you save lives by offering food to people in despair.
What you give always matters: It brings hope to people in need. If you donate healthy food such as: fruits, vegetables, whole grains, low-fat dairy and lean proteins.
Solution 2: housing living cost standards are urgent to prevent people with low income becoming homeless
Providing shelters and improving wages should be Government’s priority worldwide. In UK, conservatives are predicting inflation in rent.
Rishi Sunak warns mortgages could rise by £1000 as interest rates to soar to 2.5%. Rishi Sunak is a British politician: A member of the Conservative Party, serving as Chancellor of the Exchequer since 2020.
A UK tweet recently went viral as uproar and outrage from members of the public vividly condoning renovation of monuments namely £800 billion spent on big ben which arguably brings tourism but ostracises people who have inadequate housing like the Grenfell Tower victims.
Solution 3: amending draconian laws that usually discriminate the poor by ignoring humanitarian values in general.
Amending supply chains and trade laws , laws on commodities, food and beverages, laws on homelessness , economic wages , grocery prices , food beverage commodities and amending immigration law.
Governments that keep voting laws that ignore people’s welfare could metaphorically be compared to an oppressive regime.
What is currently happening in UK and worldwide are typical harbinger patterns warning signs that predict social revolution
People are fed up of empty electoral promises.
Heads of states from around the world are supposed to implement laws that ensure people’s welfare by providing them decent wages, food, shelter, health services.
Not adopting such laws and breaking electoral promises after being elected only to implement laws that only benefit a handful of upper class may certainly lead to a large-scale revolution worldwide.
