Internet Pornography Addiction: the huge cost to society. The Bridge MAG. image                     Do you need help for your porn addiction? The following book could be your response “..The Ultimate Guide to Stop Porn Obsessing…”

As the world celebrated Valentine’s Day on 14 February 2013, three out of seven couples surveyed by The Bridge Magazine admitted to having frequently used internet pornography to rekindle their sex lives.

Valentine’s Day is traditionally the date for romance, flirtation, expressions of love and of sexual desire; the date on which red is crowned queen of colours, the warmest and most sensual of them all, the colour of blood and rubies, and the prime choice for extroverts. At Valentine’s, lovers splash out on heart-shaped cards, red roses, champagne, chocolates, candlelit dinners, or luxurious lingerie, depending on their budgets.

When asking the opinions of various London lovers and couples on the most romantic restaurants where they choose to spend their Valentine’s Day evenings together, the answers were greatly varied.

The very liberated Anthony from Coven Garden replied:

“Nothing is forbidden on Valentine’s Day, tonight is the night of ecstasy, the free sexual night. We will watch internet pornography all night long. We enjoy watching it every single day, but today is ‘Valentine special’, so we will be watching it all night long”.

Anthony’s partner, Ricky, looked at him with a censorious expression on her face, as if she felt he had said too much, and too crudely.

In fact, pornography can be a part of a wide range of approaches to sex and entertainment used by couples in order to spice up their sex lives and explore new practices that will help them reach greater sexual ecstasies, and so in turn strengthen and stabilise their relationships.

However, the question that burns on the lips is, Where to draw the line? How far is too far? How much is too much? What should a couple’s threshold be while exploring new horizons of their sexuality?

From flirtation, romance and eroticism to sex, love, pornography-dependency, and even ‘paraphilia’ (defined broadly as a highly indiscriminate and ultra-liberated approach to sexual practices), there is a thin line between mutually consenting sexual experimentation and more exploitative or even violent practices.

Love and violence are contradictory bedfellows, especially since love means respect and care for one’s partner or soul mate….

Here we should remember Ted Bundy’s confession and its warning about pornography. Bundy was one of the most infamous sex criminals of all time, a serial rapist, murderer and necrophile (someone who engages in sexual practices with corpses).

Shortly before he was executed, Bundy called the founder of Focus on the Family Dr…

Bundy stressed the link between pornography and sexually violent crime…

Unfortunately, the mainstream tabloid press has ignored many of the warnings in such accounts and hardcore pornography is …

In Bundy’s own words: “My craving to kill was always inflamed by violent pornography…

There are also some shocking facts associated with this mass availability. According to the most recent available data on Internet Pornography Statistics:

“Every second, $ 3,075.64 is spent on pornography; 28,258 people are viewing pornography; and 372 people are typing adult search terms.

Every 39 Minutes, a new pornographic video is created in the United States;

US pornography industry revenue amounts to billions of dollars (for instance, $13.33 Billion was spent on the porn industry in 2006; and US porn revenue….exceeds the combined revenues of ABC, CBS and NBC).

Since 2005, 13,588 titles of hardcore pornography are released each year.

About Internet Porn and Kids There are 116,000 daily requests for child pornography and 100,000 websites offering illegal child pornography…
