It’s an all-too familiar headline: ‘teenager found dead in London following car crash’. But in this case, there was something different (and curious) about the details. The girl’s boyfriend, jolted by her loss, was quick to voice his belief that her missing unicorn necklace may have been the cause of her death.

Jade Graham 18, has been wearing her Italian horn jewellery since she was one. Her parents advised her never to forget to put it on, unless she had lost interest in life itself. It seemed she had now paid a heavy price for her negligence.

According to her boyfriend, Brannon, Jade had had a bad feeling before the party.

“Believe me, Brannon, I was even ready before you ring the bell,” she had told him. “I have a feeling that something bad is going to happen to me tonight if I can’t find my unicorn necklace.”

“Nonsense!”  replied Brannon.  “I don’t believe any word of this superstition.”

The Italian horn, also known as the unicorn and Leprechaun staff, was introduce by the Lord Druids of Scotland and is associated with good luck and good fortune. According to others, it also means Satan will take care of you and your finances.

Nowadays, many, like Jade, have found themselves trapped in the middle of a commitment with occult amulets they mostly wear without even understanding their hidden meanings.
