Our editorial believes in the Manichean vision of the world but our years of writing and of campaigning for a better world is not over.

Everyone can make a positive lasting impact to better the world: Remember St. Thomas Aquina’s powerful quotes: “How can we live in harmony? First, we need to know we are all madly in love with the same God.”

Metaphorically God in this case being perceived more as a common interest, common virtue, the love of Mankind rather than solely a Deity!

St. Thomas Aquinas (1225- 1274) admits love towards those with whom we are related while maintaining that we should be charitable toward all.

Thomas Aquinas encourages us to transcend the boundaries of religions, culture, social class, skin colour and tone, gender, geographical locations, tribes, political convictions, parental struggles, and personal beliefs by focusing on the underlying unity that stems from a shared love for a higher purpose or ultimate reality.

By acknowledging a shared love, humans can find common ground and build bridges of understanding, paving the way for peaceful coexistence.

It is a reminder that despite our differences, a shared yearning can foster and nurture understanding, empathy, and cooperation among diverse individuals.

The medieval Italian philosopher and theologian St. Thomas Aquinas invites humans to shift their perspective and see beyond the surface-level disagreements and conflicts that often divide them. It challenges humans to acknowledge the fundamental goodness and inherent dignity in every individual, as they are all driven by a deep love or search for the divine.

Knowing we are mortal and doomed or trapped to live in an unperfect/unjust world, does not prevent us from fighting our way through, remaining strong still, proud and virtuous despite the odds.

As the saying goes, ‘a chain is only as strong as its weakest link’.

Fighting our way through, putting our expertise to better ourselves and by ricochet that of humans as a whole is what matters the most, as far as it does not destroy us but instead ends up being beneficial to humanity.

As previously mentioned in one of our successful articles:  The philosophy of Manichaeism is one that frames good and evil as two equal and antagonistic forces. The good and the evil are inherent in our world and are inextricably linked as the head and tail of the same coin.

The duality of the Manichean lens impacts our thinking, our choices and the way we handle ourselves in various situations. The belief that the world could be perceived as purely virtuous is naïve.

Thinking in black and white will enable us to make judicious choices throughout our journey on earth.

It also helps us to go beyond what the naked eye can see or perceive, and free ourselves from prejudgment and preconceived ideas.

We may be aware that good and evil are two equal inherent and antagonistic forces of the world in which we live in.

But the question is, in 2025 if we were to craft something good on this year’s blank page what could it be?

Our editorial ended the year on a positive note and intends to start and pursue the new year with optimism, hope, lucidity, despite human happiness being interwoven with struggles and human misery.

From a legislator point of view:

It has been scientifically and medically proven that the youth start reaching full maturity at the age of 25 and maturity has nothing to do with academic ingenuity.

The Bridge Magazine hopes new laws will increase the age of majority around the world to 25 years old.

Because IQ is not set in stone. Evidence shows that, rather than ending at age 5, or 12, the teenager brain is still under construction according to researchers.

Parents must invest in their children’s food, nutrition, parental support and living standards until they reach 25 years old. Maybe it could also be time for Governments worldwide to regulate the use of social media for the youth until they reach their full brain capacity and or maturity.

When the youth lack parental support, misfortune is a precursor to their failure and demise as they are more likely to end up in prostitution rings, human trafficking rings, organs trafficking rings, drugs…

From an educational point of view:

The Bridge Magazine hope Governments worldwide will regulate the use of social media for the youth to prevent manufacturing poverty in the next coming years.

It is believed social media content creators have been popularised by politicians craving for views and for an audience worldwide.

There is another view! What if some social media Apps and Platforms have been used as means to create and observe a social experiment? As in, implemented to see the lengths to which some humans of random / certain social groups may go to after being offered “free income”?

After exposing their privacy, personal data, their personal life, issues, family secrets /issues… they could then be dumped like useless guineapigs as enough information has been gathered about them in stored databases.

Thus, unfortunately will then be used against them when and if needed.

Not to mention the fact that the youth has wasted a life time that may have been used on educational pathways, upping their career ladder prospects … to face and survive the harsh reality of the employment market.

Did You know? Education is in a state of emergency since the rise of social media.

Latest researches concluded that students drop out rate of school and university is influenced by social media.

While significant efforts were made decades ago to ensure quality education for all, The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) data demonstrates that the number of children out of school is booming.

From a Global Health point of view:The Bridge Magazine remains optimistic that in 2025 and onwards, Governments from around the world will be kind enough to fund medical studies, build more hospitals, as well as increase a pay rise for Medical Staff as medical density keeps declining worldwide. Latest statistics on a global shortage of Doctors has become alarming: The World Health Organisation (WHO) on its latest report estimates “A projected shortfall of 10 million health workers by 2030, mostly in low- and lower-middle income countries.” Meanwhile The British Medical Association (BMA) also warns: “Doctors shortage will take 25 years to fill”. Some politicians, to keep up with their political campaign and agendas and to prevent other kids competing with their offspring, were prompt to recognise and acknowledge social media content creators as a profession whilst their own children are enrolled in the best elite universities worldwide with fees able to reach over 150 000 US Dollars per year.

This will ensure their offspring inherit elite jobs such as Lawyers, Doctors, Journalists, Engineers, Bankers, Architects…  whilst others who have wasted their time on social media may end up inheriting subaltern jobs as the ridge and fracture deepens and this is how man-made poverty may be perpetuated.

From a military point of view:

Our editorial is aware a country needs to build a military float to honour its flag, to prevent war or to earn respect. But we do hope war mongers will stop making up excuses to provoke wars.

Warmongers are still making billions out of arms trades at human lives cost.

As previously quoted in one of our successful articles, latest figures on casualties of conflict from the Department of Peace and Conflict Research since the start of 36 major armed conflicts of recent years raises eyebrows: according to Adam Roberts in regards to lives and statistics, “90% of modern war victims are civilians”.

As a reminder, our editorial ALWAYS vividly condemns war. Whatever the reason. Our editorial SAYS NO TO WAR.

From a parental point of view:

We hope parents worldwide in the name of content creation (as a means of earning money), will stop flashing their babies and children’s personal pictures and lives to make money out of  various social media platforms.

From a friendship point of view, from a family point of view…

The list goes on!

The significance of Well Wishes

According to the Online Thesaurus: Good wishes are words used to express hope, joy, and support to people in various situations and occasions.

Good wishes are significant because they are a way to show that you care about someone and want them to succeed or be happy. They demonstrate your support and encouragement and can boost the recipient’s self-esteem.

Regardless of the culture, the intent of good wishes remains the same: to express positive intentions and hope for good things to come.

    Dear All,

This season, our editorial 🌍 🗞️ joins all of humanity in celebrating life.

Being alive is a privilege and an IMMENSE GRACE and it is worth celebrating. If at The Bridge Magazine we ALWAYS have a pious thought for the souls who have left us, we also celebrate life on a daily basis with gratitude. Do not wait to be threatened with chaos, incurable disease, fatal accident, death to understand the magnitude and meaning of life- a free gift.

The celebration of life helps to nourish the inner health of Man. This celebration of life goes well beyond the physical, material aspect of the party. It is a way of expressing to oneself that we matter, to someone that he (she) matters, that our journey or that of the other on earth has meaning.

Our editorial dedicates a minute of silence, a candle lit, a pious thought, for all those who throughout the world, have passed away before the New Year.

As part of the celebration of the New Year, The Bridge Magazine wishes you health, longevity, spiritual wealth, peace of mind, abundance and prosperity.

This January, The Bridge Magazine 🌍 🗞️ wishes A HAPPY NEW YEAR 2025 TO ALL.

    Kind Regards,

    The Editor

    Dear ALL,

We may be aware that good and evil are two equal inherent and antagonistic forces of the world in which we live in. But the question is, in 2025 if we were to craft something good on this year’s blank page what could it be?

From a legislator point of view:

It has been scientifically and medically proven that the youth start reaching full maturity at the age of 25 and maturity has nothing to do with academic ingenuity.

The Bridge Magazine 🌍 🗞️ hopes new laws will increase the age of majority around the world to 25 years old.

    Kind Regards,

The Bridge Magazine souhaite UNE HEUREUSE ANNÉE 2025 À TOUS.

    Bien cordialement,

    Bien cordialement,

    L’Éditrice
