As the world celebrates Valentine’s Day on 14 February 2018, five out of 9 couples surveyed by The Bridge Magazine admitted to having frequently used sex-enhancing accessories to stimulate their sex lives.

Couples may find sexual gratification through a variety of activities: erotic reading, sensual music, striptease, fellatio, cunnilingus –as part of foreplay before using condoms for sexual intercourse. However, some of these activities could be fatal, if one or both partners are infected by a sexually transmitted disease (STD).

The World Health Organisation (WHO) recently published shocking statistics on its Factsheet N° 110: ‘More than 1 million sexually transmitted infections are acquired every day worldwide’.

But there’s no need for awareness of the risk of certain sexual practises to negatively impact your sex drive in general. We all need sexual wellness to feel fulfilled.
