It is an all in one Happy Birthday Poem to her mother, and indirectly, to wish A Happy International Women’s Day to women around the world. As we celebrated The International Women Day, The Bridge Magazine shares a poem by a young contributor whose writing abilities were first noticed by an English poet when she was nine years old.
Awarded Young Reporter of the Year 2018 by Sutton Guardian and The Richmond Times, for publishing articles regularly for eight months, Orchidée Wafo, also known as Orchid, shares one of her poems written in 2009.
On March 7th 2022, speaking to Orchidée Wafo, about her poem not only did she give her approval to our editorial to share her piece once again as her contribution to pay tribute to all women around the world, but she also shared her thoughts about the event in these words:
“ Women’s day is a special day as it commemorates the special beings that are women. I believe women are the essence of life as they bear and produce life thus are people who should be respected and loved all year round.”
As a reminder, Orchidée Wafo is The Bridge Magazine’s Young Contributor who was awarded at Age 17 Young Reporter of the Year 2018 by The Sutton Guardian and The Richmond Times for publishing articles regularly for eight months, and also has a keen talent at writing poetry from the age of 9.

Orchidée Wafo has been a contributor to The Bridge Magazine for over a decade and is currently a university Law student in a high ranking University in London/ UK.
She has kept the rhythm of her academic dedication and consistency: she is still a bright law student who continues to achieve outstanding marks in most of her subjects.
March is the month dedicated to celebrate Women. Women advocate Peace not war. Unity not hostility. The Bridge Magazine celebrates Women as a symbol of success, not failure as a person who feed but not starve humanity.
It is an all in one Happy Birthday Poem to her mother, and indirectly, to all the mothers around the world.

Women, the ones who gives birth to both genders, who brings up children, raises and educates them, women who unite rather than divide or discriminates.

Our love is an island full of emotions, Holds secrets yet to be discovered –devotions Easily discoverable; it is full of the magical;
