Hope for a better world as NHS Trust Junior Doctors went on strike again: Our years of writing and campaigning for a better world for mankind are not over. However, this April focuses on the desire to improve humans living standards in UK and worldwide.

From NHS Doctors , to UK lecturers, rail workers… persistent strikes to France’s and Senegal’s political and social unrest, let alone the cost-of-living crisis worldwide, it looks as though ‘the end of the world’ is no longer a myth.
Constructive journalism remains at the heart of our editorial. Hope has always been The Bridge Magazine’s leitmotiv.
Our editorial believes that hope builds resilience and strengthens us to try several times rather than give up instantly. If humans only perceive the worst side of things, it destroys their ability to build a solution-oriented mind.
Remember Noam Chomsky’s famous quote on hope:
“Optimism is a strategy for making a better future […]”
Avram Noam Chomsky is a hugely influential Jewish born American linguist and philosopher, author of more than 100 books and activist. He was once voted the world’s top public intellectual.
Latest figures show:
“More than 196,000 hospital appointments had to be cancelled because of the junior doctor strike in England last week. It includes people who were waiting for operations and other treatments as well as scans and follow-up appointments.”
On NHS Trust Junior Doctors latest strike action:
The Bridge Magazine was disheartened to learn that from 7am on Tuesday 11th April to 6:59 am on Saturday 15th April 2023 strike action was taking place by junior doctors at most NHS Trusts. Meaning , delays inpatients planned tests, or changes to their surgical procedure and or hospital appointments. Hence more deaths that may have been prevented.
Doctor’s brains are wired 24 /7 on a lifesaving mode pattern.
Whatever they get paid will never be enough to equate their time, their skills and dedication they put to save people’s lives.
For that reason, we hope UK Government and Governments worldwide will vote laws that enable doctors a pay rise in particular and health care professionals in general.
Not to mention teachers and lecturers who are the pilar of youth education and the professionals, to list a few.
On invisible workers and the ugly face of underground economy:
According to latest statistics:
The size of United Kingdom’s informal economy is estimated to be 10.3% which represents approximately $365 billion at GDP PPP levels.
We hope the plight of public cleaners, carers, hospital cleaners, road sweepers, and the so called “squalid illegal immigrants” in UK and worldwide who get paid under the minimum wage and who are repeatedly overlooked, shamed due to misinformation and propaganda improves.
On children and or women sexual exploitation
We hope Governments across the UK and around the world will URGENTLY pass draconian laws and penalties to crack down and STOP child abuse and women sex exploitation.
On Russian Ukraine War and the cost-of-living crisis worldwide.
As previously published in one of our successful war related articles : Russian Ukraine War is making the entire planet a more dangerous place to live than it was already.
Maintaining Sanctions against Russia means entertaining an endless war thus more casualties worldwide.
The world leaders should put aside personal pride and selfish interests and prioritise the common interest of nations worldwide.
It is not enough to appear on Mainstream media.
Frequently appearing draped and all dapper, with beautiful costumes for major debates televised by Mainstream media: (relayed in cuts by Citizen journalists in social networks), it aggravates the situation and makes debates sterile.
No need to remember that political leaders around the world have enough money in their private bank accounts to afford a private jet for private health care in a private clinic in the country of their choice if they or one of their family members need urgent care.
The English proletariat, the homeless or the English middle class who bequeaths is smothered by the debts of unpaid taxes… will never be able to afford this luxury.
Citizens do not claim this luxurious lifestyle.
But the vital minimum (a few potatoes in the dish, even without garnish, a little water, a little heating, etc.) is essential to one’s survival and well-being.
It’s not just the rich, the wealthy who have the right to breath, who have the right to basic necessities- everyone should be entitled and be on the same plain field.
Easter
The origins of Easter can be traced to Christianity:
the celebration of Christ’s rising from the tomb, and that, those who believe in Him and follow His ‘Word’ will also be spiritually resurrected into eternal life.
Easter Sunday marks the end of a forty-day long period of fasting called Lent, which culminates in the celebration of Christ’s resurrection on the third day after his crucifixion. The roots of the celebrations are diverse.
However, cultures from around the world observe spring holidays and festivals at this time of year, around the common theme of rebirth.
The Bridge Magazine wishes a Happy belated Easter to all those who are suffering in silence.
A Happy belated Easter to everyone.
